How the Victoria Home Battery Rebate Works
Solar Victoria administers the program. The rebate covers up to 50% of the total installed cost of the battery, capped at $8,800. An interest-free loan for the same amount is available to cover the remaining cost. The retailer applies the rebate directly.
Eligibility Requirements
- ✓ Victorian homeowner (renters are not eligible)
- ✓ Combined household income under $210,000/year
- ✓ Property must have an existing solar PV system, or install solar at the same time
- ✓ Property value must be under $3 million
- ✓ Battery must be from the approved product list
- ✓ Installed by a Solar Victoria-registered retailer
